S.r.l. are a well-established professional association known for its well-organized methods in the fields of planning, design and project management of prestigious public and private buildings, as well as airports, seaport terminals, railway stations and motorways. Throughout their long career the Studio has carried out and managed several project for residential, office and education buildings.
Sylos Labini Ingegneri e Architetti Associati S.r.l. have a vast experience in managing complex projects that require coordination among different disciplines and the ability to process data.

Sylos Labini Ingegneri ed Architetti associati are a professional partnership based in Bari and Rome, where they also own the engineering firm INGE.CO. S.r.l. The studio also avail themselves of the continuous collaboration with the architectural studio Laboratorio Permanente of the Architects Nicola Russi and Angelica Sylos Labini, based in Milan.

The Studio Tecnico Sylos Labini was founded by the engineer Mauro Sylos Labini in 1952; with the inclusion of Domingo Sylos Labini, in 1969 they created the Studio Associato Ingegneri Mauro e Domingo Sylos Labini.
In 1984 the Studio Associato expanded to include the engineer and professor Francesco Sylos Labini, and opened the current offices in Rome. From 2009 onwards the Studio expanded the organization and its potential even more thanks to their partnership with architects Angelica Sylos Labini and Giovanna Sylos Labini.
In 2013 the Studio turned into an S.r.l. (limited liability company) and changed their name to “Sylos Labini Ingegneri e Architetti Associati S.r.l.”.

Among the recent experience:

Works that won internationally relevant design competitions are the new Headquarters of the Puglia regional administration in Bari including all regional offices and regional council room, actually under construction, and the new facilities for the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Bologna.

This planning firm also has vast and in-depth experience in the area of architectural and urban planning. The most recent works currently in progress in the city of Bari are: an estate belonging to Edicos S.r.l. for residential and commercial use, including an indoor market and a multi-storey car park, all of which covers an area of about 30,000 sq. m.
A complex urban plan in a designated commercial services area near the Tondo di Carbonara in Bari measuring about 11 ha and contemplating housing, public and private offices as well as infrastructure and multi-storey car parks. The project has been used in national presentations as example of prominent regional work.

Throughout their long career the Studio has carried out and managed several plans for airports, as well as railway stations and seaport terminals.
Starting in 1974, they designed and directed the works for the new runway of the International Airport of Bari, extended up to 3,000m, as well as all the operative buildings of the premises (TWR building, cargo terminals, airport control tower, etc.).
In 2002, appointed by SEAP – Aeroporti di Puglia S.p.A., the Studio Associato wrote the Assessment of the Territory Plan in preparation for the Regulating Plan (Piano Regolatore) of the Airport of Bari-Palese.
More recently, in 2004 they took on the planning and followed the works of the Airport of Salento in Brindisi, including the new air terminal, as well as the reconfiguration of the road and parking network for the whole premises and design a multi-storey car park.
In 2007 Aeroporti di Puglia S.p.A. awarded them the planning and the supervision of building site of a further expansion of the Airport of Brindisi to the firm, currently in progress after having obtained all the necessary permits. In the same year, with Laboratorio Permanente they design, planned and carried out the works management of the child care centre and services inside the airport terminal in Bari.
In 2009 the firm was appointed to the detail design of the new high-speed railway station for the city of Naples. The project, worth approximately €90m, has been granted all permits and is being carried out by the company ASTALDI, who won the tender.
In the same period they did the detail design of the new seaport terminal for the city of Salerno, which is currently in progress.

The firm has also acquired significant experience in the purely urban sector through the preparation of the Regulatory Plan of Fasano (Brindisi) and the initial implementation for the General Urban Plan Conversano (Bari), both cities of about 30,000 inhabitants.
